A representative of Buffalo Wild Wings has submitted plans for a restaurant on the city’s west side, near Trader Joe’s, according to a general land-use application on the city’s website.

That application was submitted in July and will face substantive review as part of a city site-plan review committee meeting next week.

Buffalo Wild Wings wants to build a 7,200-square-foot restaurant, with parking for 65 vehicles, at 1616 Black Lake Blvd., the site of a former restaurant called America’s Diner. That site also was once home to a Denny’s restaurant.

The Minneapolis-based chain had 817 locations, either owned by the company or franchisees, by the end of 2011, according to the company’s annual report. Buffalo Wild Wings, which formed in 1982, has locations in Lynnwood, Tacoma, Vancouver, Wash., and, soon, Puyallup, according to the company website.
