Air Force Airman Tulia J. Heikenfeld graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Heikenfeld is the daughter of Joseph Heikenfeld of Glen Rock, Pa., and sister of Anna Mankin of Olympia, and she is a 2010 graduate of Capital High School.
Air Force Airman Kyle A. Phillips graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Phillips is the son of Teddi Phillips of Tumwater, and Scott Phillips of Olympia, and he is a 2006 graduate of A.G. West Black Hills High School, Tumwater.

Civilian Jack A. Blomberg, son of Cristina Guillermo Natividad of Goose Creek, S. C. and Orin P. Blomberg, of Olympia, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District, Raleigh, N. C. Blomberg will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.
