Books by the Bay fundraiser slated for Thursday

The South Sound Reading Foundation’s annual Books By the Bay celebration and fundraiser will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Olympia Country and Golf Club, 3636 Country Club Dr. N.W., Olympia.

The event will feature a silent auction, refreshments, music and a chance to meet authors and illustrators Jim Lynch, Julie Paschkis, Judy Bentley, Erik Brooks, Robin Cruise, Margaret Chodos-Irvine, Ken Mochizuki. Their books will be available for purchase, and can be signed at the event.

In addition, Lynch will read from his new book, “Truth Like the Sun.”
