SOUTH SOUND: Celebrate reading

The South Sound Reading Foundation’s annual Books By the Bay celebration and fundraiser will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Olympia Country and Golf Club, 3636 Country Club Drive NW, Olympia.

The event will feature a silent auction, refreshments, music and a chance to meet authors and illustrators Jim Lynch, Julie Paschkis, Judy Bentley, Erik Brooks, Robin Cruise, Margaret Chodos-Irvine and Ken Mochizuki. Their books will be available for purchase and can be signed at the event.

In addition, Lynch will read from his new book, “Truth Like the Sun.”
