KGY Radio asks listeners: What do you want to hear on the air?

Staff writerSeptember 27, 2012

In an effort to reinvent its format, audience services and programming, historic Olympia radio station KGY AM 1240 is asking its listeners: what do you want to hear?

"We've always had a big news presence as well as music, sports, weather and personalities," station operations manager Kevin Huffer said in a statement. "But in our new season, we'll ask existing and new listeners what they want to hear."

Listeners are invited to go to www.kgyradio.com or call 855-549-6397 and offer ideas and suggestions.

KGY recently added Let's talk -- set to begin Oct. 15 -- the Dennis Miller Show and CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta medical show.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
