SWAT team serves search warrant in Winlock Friday, 3 arrested

A three-month drug investigation in Lewis County ended Friday morning with three arrests, according to a news release.

According to the release:

The Lewis County Drug Task Force, Chehalis Police Department, state Department of Corrections and the Lewis County SWAT team served a warrant at a Ferrier Road house in the Winlock area at 7 a.m. Friday.

While entering the house, police confronted a 48-year-old man who was in bed. The man reached for a loaded pistol kept under his pillow and had to be restrained.

The 48-year-old is accused of two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one count of conspiracy to deliver meth and one count of first-degree attempted assault.

A 47-year-old man and a 59-year-old man also were arrested. The 47-year-old is accused of possession of meth and the 59-year-old is being accused of conspiracy to deliver meth.

Six others were taken into custody during the search but later were released.
