Air Force

Air Force Airman Cory J. Beins graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Beins is the son of James Beins of Yelm, and a 2009 graduate of A.G. West Black Hills High School, Tumwater.

Air Force Airman Zachary C. Benjamin graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Benjamin is the son of Wayne Benjamin of Olympia, and Tamela Gardner of Tacoma. He is a 2008 graduate of Timberline High School, Lacey.

Air Force Airman Tristan A. Geray graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Bonnie Geray of Yelm, and a 2009 graduate of Yelm High School.

Army

Army National Guard Pvt. Jared A. Dean has graduated from the Basic Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Dean is the son of Heather Dean of Olympia.

Army Pvt. Dylan M. Mayberry has graduated from the Fire Support Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Mayberry is the son of Michael and Polly Mayberry of Olympia, and a 2010 graduate of Capital High School, Olympia.

Army Pvt. John F. Sparks has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Sparks is the son of Howard Sparks of Rainier, and a 2011 graduate of Rainier High School.

Navy

Navy Seaman Melanie R. Payne, daughter of Heather J. Horne-Stewart of Yelm, and David L. Payne, of Lorton, Va., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Payne is a 2008 graduate of Yelm High School, and a 2011 graduate of Western Washington University, Bellingham, with a BA degree.
