Brittany Rutherford had a match-high 19 kills and Megan Kramer was 16-for-16 serving with 18 assists in North Thurston’s 25-10, 25-16, 25-7 sweep of Foss in 3A Narrows League volleyball. Sisters Emily and Megan Van Marter combined for 16 kills in Northwest Christian’s 25-16, 26-16, 27-29, 25-22 loss to South Bend in Pacific 2B play. Megan Van Marter also had eight blocks. Black Hills won its fourth match out of the past five with a 25-21, 25-14, 25-8 sweep of Centralia to remain in third place in the 2A Evergreen Conference. Moriah Kramer had 30 assists and Jensyn McCoy had 22 digs and four aces. Tumwater remains atop the 2A EvCo and undefeated after a 25-6, 25-13, 25-12 sweep of W.F. West, led by Karlee Sampson (18-for-19 serving, eight aces, nine kills) and Morgan Pilon (29 assists). Joslin Lindsay and Arin Seidlitz had two goal apiece in Black Hills’ 7-1 win over Centralia in 2A EvCo girls soccer. The Wolves scored four goals over a nine-minute stretch in the first half. Abbey Bergquist scored in the first minute of the second half for Tumwater’s only goal in a 2-1 loss to W.F. West. Rashelle Fisher and Olivia Erksine each scored first-half goals for the Bearcats. Silem Hernandez (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke) and Arielle Howell (100 and 50 freestyles) won two individual events and swam legs of the winning 200 medley relay in North Thurston’s 142-34 3A Narrows girls swimming win at Mount Tahoma. The Rams won all 12 events. Lorraine Hack (200 IM, 100 butterfly) and Abby Sullivan (200 free, 500) combined for four individual wins and also swam in the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays in Tumwater’s 110-69 2A Evergreen Conference dual meet win over W.F.West/Centralia. Olympia’s depth dominated River Ridge in a 140-26 nonleague dual meet. Sarah Norman won the 50 free and 100 backstroke, and Anya Dickinson-Cove won the 200 and 500 freestyles.
