Emergency preparedness expo Saturday at Saint Martin's

The free event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Maritn's University Marcus Pavilion and Worthington Conference Center, 5300 Pacific Ave. S.E. in Lacey.

Those who attend will learn how to be prepared and respond to severe winter storms and natural disasters, how to winterize a car and what items should be stocked for emergency kits at home.

Everyone who goes will receive a free Kit-Man safety bag with information on starting their own safety kit. About 40 vendors will be present providing information and demonstrations.
