Like your boss? Nominate 'em for Boss of the Year nod

The Thurston County Chamber of Commerce seeks nominations for its third annual Boss of the Year award, an award that recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership through innovation, communication, vision and performance.

Nominations will be accepted through Oct. 26. For a nomination form, go to the Thurston Chamber website at www.thurstonchamber.com. Business students at Saint Martin's University will interview finalists and gather data for the selection committee. An award presentation event is set for Dec. 12 at Saint Martin's Worthington Center.

Last year's winners were Robert Coit, executive director of the Thurston County Food Bank; Mariella Cummings, Physicians of Southwest Washington chief executive; Mike Harbour, general manager of Intercity Transit.

In 2010, the winners were Bruce Cramer of O Bee Credit Union; John Setterstrom, general manager of Lucky Eagle Casino; Mike Strub, executive director of LOTT.
