If you have not yet decided your vote for Thurston County commissioner, please take a moment to consider this race closely. I have lived in this county for most of my life and it is my opinion that Cathy Wolfe is the candidate who has the best interests of our citizens in mind.

She has been an effective commissioner and will listen to her constituents and consider options with a calm and steady mind. I have seen her in attendance at countless community and nonprofit events giving her personal time to hear the concerns and goals of citizens and organizations.

In contrast, Karen Rogers is not the good listener her campaign has described. In fact, my experience with Karen Rogers was quite the opposite. At a forum intended for public comment at a city council meeting, she seemed to already have made up her mind. Karen Rogers appeared judgmental and argumentative toward the very citizens who had showed up to share their comments.

We have enough divisive politicians at other levels of government. Let’s keep local politics sane.
