This years theme is Share, not Scare, promoting parents and teens to talk about positive driving behavior, including wearing a seat belt, avoiding distracted driving and adhering to posted speed limits.
Statewide, the Washington State Patrol has stopped more than 23,337 drivers between 16 and 19 years old for speed violations this year, according to Trooper Guy Gill.
