TESC's radio station receives national praise
LISA PEMBERTONThe Evergreen State College’s community radio station, KAOS 89.3 FM, recently was named among the top 10 non-commercial radio stations in the nation. The accolades came from Performer Magazine and The Princeton Review. Both publications praised the station’s efforts to provide diverse programming that includes independent music, women’s issues, Native American, Spanish language and public-affairs reporting. “As I look at the other stations included on the lists, we are certainly proud to be mentioned in their company,” KAOS general manager Jerry Drummond said in a news release.
