Black Hills High School to host "spirit fire" community celebration

A “spirit fire” community celebration to kick off Pioneer Bowl week in the Tumwater School District will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Black Hills High School, 7741 Littlerock Road S.W., Olympia.

The event is open to the public, and geared toward students, families and alumni of Black Hills and its associated schools, including Tumwater Middle School and Black Lake, Tumwater Hill and Michael T. Simmons elementary schools.

Activities include a parade that will go from Tumwater Middle School to Black Hills High School, along with a rally, mini sports clinics, face painting, hay rides, food and a dunk tank.
