Out: Wilson (2-4), Foss (1-4), Mount Tahoma (0-5)
Lowdown: The Blazers can win the 3A Narrows League title outright with a win over Shelton Friday night at South Sound Stadium. If the Highclimbers win -- and assuming North Thurston defeats winless Mount Tahoma -- Shelton, Timberline and North Thurston will be tied for first place. To settle the tiebreaker for district seeding purposes, point differential will be used.
If Shelton beats Timberline, it needs to do so by 14 or more points to earn the league’s No. 1 seed, putting Timberline at No. 2 and North Thurston at No. 3. If Shelton wins by 13 or fewer points -- or if Timberline beats Shelton -- Timberline is the No. 1 seed, North Thurston is No. 2 and Shelton is No. 3.
4A Narrows League
Clnched: Bellarmine (5-0, No. 1 seed), Central Kitsap (4-1)
In the mix: Olympia (3-2), Yelm (2-3), South Kitsap (3-2)
Out: Stadium (0-5)
Lowdown: Lots going on for the final playoff berths, and much of it has to do with Friday's Central Kitsap/South Kitsap matchup:
-- If Central Kitsap beats South Kitsap, and Olympia beats Yelm, Olympia is the No. 3 seed, and South Kitsap is No. 4. But if Yelm beats Olympia, there will be a three-way tie for two playoff spots between Olympia, Yelm and South Kitsap.
-- If South Kitsap beats Central Kitsap, and Olympia defeats Yelm, there is a three-way tie for second between Olympia, South Kitsap and Central Kitsap. But if Yelm beats Olympia, then South Kitsap is the No. 2 seed, Central Kitsap is No. 3 and Yelm is No. 4.
1A SWW Evergreen
Clinched: Hoquiam (5-0), Montesano (4-1), Tenino (3-2), Elma (3-2)
Out: Forks (2-3), Rochester (1-4), Rainier (0-6)
Lowdown: The playoff picture is just about set for the 1As. Hoquiam already is the No. 1 seed, but seeds 2-3-4 are not set yet. Should Elma defeat Montesano and Tenino beats Rochester Friday, Monte, Tenino and Elma will be in a three-way tie for second place and a coin flip would determine seeding for the 1A District IV crossover games.
