Volleyball: 4A, 3A Narrows League tournament is Saturday

• Published October 24, 2012

This year, the 4A and 3A Narrows League volleyball tournaments will be a one-day affair Saturday at Mount Tahoma High School. The regular season wrapped up Tuesday, and the matchups for the tournament are set.

The top seven teams in each division will play in the tournament. In 4A, Olympia, the No. 3 seed, faces Stadium, the No. 6 seed at 10 a.m. in a loser-out contest. The winner will face the winner of Saturday’s noon match between Central Kitsap and South Kitsap at 2 p.m. in a third/fourth-place seeding match into next weekend’s West Central District III tournament.

In 3A, Timberline and North Thurston will face off for the second time in five days when they meet for the tournament title at 4 p.m. Saturday. By claiming the first and second seeds from the regular season, both teams automatically advanced to play in the title match; the winner will be the No. 1 seed to the district tournament and the loser is No. 2.
