Four projects expected to affect South Sound traffic in coming week, DOT says

These projects are expected to affect Thurston County traffic in the coming week, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Tumwater to Pierce County line: Sweeping will close the left lane in various spots on southbound I-5 from 8:30 p.m.-4:30 a.m. today-Tuesday.

Olympia: Median wall repair will close the left lane of southbound I-5 at Capital Lake from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday.

Rochester: Utility work will close alternating lanes of eastbound U.S. 12 at Rochester from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday.

Olympia: Tree cutting will close the left lane of northbound U.S. 101 near Steamboat Island from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
