A hiring event for veterans and the public is set for noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Olympia National Guard Armory, 515 Eastside St. S.E. The event is the 7th annual of its kind, which veterans refer to as a "stand-down."

"There is likely to be as many as 40 to 50 employers with over 400 job seekers attending and approximately 50 volunteers and support personnel," said John Moysiuk, the longtime organizer of the event. Moysiuk is a Thurston County WorkSource veteran representative.

To reserve an employer booth or table at the event, call Moysiuk at 360-704-3614.

Thurston County WorkSource and the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce's Business to Business program are promoting the event.
