Election letters ending Friday

The Olympian is closing off the publication of letters regarding candidates and all ballot measures for the general election as of Friday, Nov. 2.

No election letters will be published after that date.

After Wednesday, only letters supporting a candidate will be published, although letters for or against ballot measures will appear through the Friday deadline.

Letters submitted now through the deadline should be written as concisely as possible and will be edited for the goal of publishing as many comments as possible before Friday.

Preference will be given to letters submitted through The Olympian’s website.

The deadline for letters to the editor for this year's school bond elections is noon Thursday.

Because of the volume of election correspondence, letters that contain arguments made in previous letters may not be selected for our print edition.

All election letters received by the deadline will be posted on the Herald's website.

On April 21, Bah’ís in Thurston County and around the world celebrated a special Holy Day called Ridvan. This word is pronounced “Rezwan” and means paradise in Arabic. This marks the declaration of Baha’u’llah on April 21, 1863, and the beginning of the Baha’i Faith.
