Timberland Regional Library announces finalists for director position

Three finalists are vying for Timberland Regional Library’s top post, and the public can meet the candidates this week during a series of forums.

The Timberland Library Director candidates are: Ann Hammond, who has served as executive director of the Lexington Public Library in Kentucky since 2010; Cheryl Heywood, interim public services manager at Timberland Regional Library; and Jeff Scott, deputy director of the Tulare County Library in Visalia, Calif.

The forums will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Timberland Administrative Center, 415 Tumwater Blvd., Tumwater; 10:30 a.m. to noon on Friday at the Aberdeen branch, 121 E. Market St., Aberdeen; and 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Chehalis branch, 400 N. Market Blvd., Chehalis.
