Shipping news: M/V Star Ismene follows Ocean Hope

It's back-to-back ship visits for the Port of Olympia, beginning with the Ocean Hope last week and now the M/V Star Ismene is in town, which currently is docked at the port through Monday.

The M/V Star Ismene is unloading ceramic proppants, steel pipe and coils from China, while the Ocean Hope loaded 5.7 million board feet of Weyerhaeuser logs, then departed for Japan Sunday.

Ship details for the Star Ismene:

-Flag: Bergen, Norway.

-Origin: Shanghai, China.

-Customer: Rainbow Ceramics and several steel companies.
