Party operatives share the blame

I would like to first thank Kirby Wilbur for bringing the Washington State Republican Party to its present state by overseeing the fracturing of the base of the party. A good example of this is the way the Ron Paul supporters at the state convention were treated as second-class citizens by being required to promise to vote for Romney if he won before they could speak. This disenfranchised enough voters that you can see the election results. I’m sure there were limits to what you could do, but from where I sat as an observer, you didn’t make any attempt at all to mitigate the situation. Thus I give you the elephant’s share of the responsibility for the state the Republican Party finds itself in today. I hope you feel the shame you should.

Second, my not-so-thankful thanks goes to the Reagan Fund for the inflammatory fliers it sent out despite requests from the candidates to not do so. They were extremely effective at destroying much of the good will candidates had built.
