COLLEGES: Saint Martin’s Ibarra quits as volleyball coach

Saint Martin’s University volleyball coach Phil Ibarra has resigned effective immediately after compiling a 28-169 record in eight seasons with the Saints.

In the Great Northwest Athletic Conference this season, SMU finished ninth with a GNAC record of 3-15 and a 6-18 mark overall.

SMU and The Evergreen State College now have volleyball coaching vacancies. Evergreen’s Greg Spector also recently resigned.
