Steilacoom Kerry is not fit for secretary of state

OlympiaNovember 29, 2012

T hat Sen. John Kerry may be considered as a nominee for secretary of state makes me question the integrity of the process. Recall his famous “Genghis Kahn” speech” in which he vilified the military’s activities in Vietnam. Though I never served in Vietnam, my stomach turned when hearing his denunciation of our efforts. As a veteran of over 25 years of military service, I am dumbfounded by his possible nomination. Why not consider Jane Fonda as Secretary of Defense?
