TODAY-SUNDAY -- OFT musical premieres: Olympia Family Theater presents ‘THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS,' its first world premiere and an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s beloved book about Toad of Toad Hall and his friends. Showtimes this weekend are 7 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, but it runs through Dec. 23 at the black box theater at the Minnaert Center for the Arts at South Puget Sound Community College, 2011 Mottman Road SW, Olympia. Tickets are $16 for adults; $12 for students, seniors and military; $9 for children 12 and younger. The show will be most enjoyed by children 5 and older. TODAY -- Country spitfire: Country fans will head to Rochester at 7 tonight for the LEANN RIMES concert at Lucky Eagle Casino, 12888 188th Ave. SW. At age 13, Rimes gained notice with the release of the song “Blue. She has since racked up awards, including two Grammys, three American Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. TODAY -- Gypsy tunes: Indulge in the gypsy jazz of PEARL DJANGO and Olympia’s own VINCE BROWN at an intimate performance at 8 tonight at Art House Designs, 420 Franklin St. SE, Olympia. Pearl Django, which formed in Tacoma, has been performing for 18 years. Tickets are $20. Call 360-943-3377.

TODAY -- Ballroom Bandalabra: Built around rhythmic and minimalist concepts, SKERIK'S BANDALABRA is a four-piece, Seattle-based band featuring Skerik on saxophone, Andy Coe on electric guitar, Evan Flory Barnes on upright bass and Dvonne Lewis on drums. The group will perform at 9 tonight at the Olympia Ballroom, 116 Legion Way SE. Tickets are $10; $8 with student ID.

TODAY-SUNDAY -- Holiday theater continues: Two plays continue this weekend that will get you laughing at the holidays.

After years of Stardust holidays at Harlequin Productions, the local theater group presents a revue, “A CHRISTMAS SURVIVAL GUIDE,” which takes a humorous look at what Christmas is like for adults. Showtimes this weekend are 7:30 tonight and Saturday plus 2 p.m. Sunday. The show runs through Dec. 31 at State Theater, 202 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Tickets are $38; 35 for military and seniors; $25 for students and those younger than 25. Discounted rush tickets are available a half hour prior to curtain. Meanwhile, Capital Playhouse’s holiday musical “NUNCRACKERS” shows what happens when the quirky “Nunsense” gals decide to tape a holiday TV special in the convent basement. Showtimes are 7:30 tonight and Saturday plus 2 p.m. Sunday, but the show runs through Dec. 16 at the playhouse, 612 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. SATURDAY -- ‘A Joyful Noise’: MASTERWORKS CHORAL ENSEMBLE offers a holiday concert of new arrangements of mostly traditional pieces — and a silent auction so you can shop. And take note, American Idol (or The Voice) wanna-bes: Among those auction items is the chance to perform as a soloist with Masterworks in the spring. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, with silent auction bidding beginning at 6 p.m. Both are at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, 512 Washington St. SE, Olympia. SATURDAY-SUNDAY -- Woven art: Discover the beauty of hand-crafted items at the 29th ANNUAL SHOW AND SALE OF THE OLYMPIA WEAVERS GUIDE from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Items are made by guild members and include baskets, clothing, jewelry, mittens, scarves, toys and artwork. It’s at the North Olympia Fire Station, 5046 Boston Harbor Road NE. Call 360-789-7898.

SATURDAY-SUNDAY -- Adventure films: Experience remote cultures along with heart stopping, thoughtful and sometimes hilarious adventures of mountain climbing, skiing, biking and kayaking in some of most beautiful and enchanting places on the planet at the BANFF MOUNTAIN FILM FESTIVAL. It’s starting at 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday at Capitol Theater, 206 Fifth Ave. SE. Different films are showing each night starting . Tickets are $23 for the weekend, $14 for Saturday and $12 for Sunday. All proceeds go to the Olympia branch of the Mountaineers. SUNDAY -- This is no reindeer: Santa is coming to the Olympic Flight Museum, and he’s not arriving in a sleigh. Join in the fun at the 14th ANNUAL SANTA WELCOME, where Santa and Mrs. Claus will buzz in on a helicopter. The festive event features music from the Tenino High School Choir along with dance performances by Debbi’s Dance, Etc. and Center Stage Dance Academy. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 7637 Old Highway 99 SE, Olympia. Admission is $5, ages 6 and younger are admitted free. Get a photo with Santa for $7. Call 360-705-3925.
