Tumwater Pioneers men’s semi-pro soccer season underway (w/schedule, tickets, team information)

The Tumwater Pioneers, first-year members of the Premier Arena Soccer League, kicked off their season Saturday with a 11-3 loss to Kitsap Pumas on the road.

About the Pioneers
The Pioneers are members of the nine-team Northwest Division, which includes Arlington Aviators FC, Kitsap Pumas, Marysville Ruckus, Oregon Blacktails FC, Snohomish Skyhawks, South Sound FC Shock, Wenatchee Fire and WSA Rapids. The PASL is different from traditional 11-on-11 soccer; is a six-on-six league. The team, which features many former Evergreen and Saint Martin’s players, is coached by former Evergreen player Matt Stalnik. All home games are at the Tumwater Indoor Sports Complex.
