Restore 90-minute free parking to downtown

As a downtown business owner, I have been screaming against the paid parking meters since before they were put in. I have spoken at countless council meetings, just to be ignored by the council, including now Mayor Stephen Buxbaum.

We have all suffered from this bad decision, the businesses and our customers. It is now time for this council to repent, remove all the parking meters, (sell them to Seattle) and go back to 90-minute free parking.

What would be the result? Every parking space downtown would be vacated every 90 minutes. What’s wrong with that?
