Congress can’t even agree on the disabled

Oh, my gosh! The words keep coming to me, “where can I go?” I keep thinking about other countries, and yet my old America is the best. And then I read where 38 Republican senators voted against ratifying a UN treaty on the rights of the disabled. A treaty modeled after our Americans with Disabilities Act.

Even John McCain and Bob Dole couldn’t persuade that August group of senators. With that backdrop in mind, how in the heck are we ever going to solve our debt problem?

Compromise is needed, not feet planted in the sand.
