Service dogs allowed, ... but a foo-foo dog?

December 14, 2012

I happened to be in a store in Shelton the other day and came across a lady with a so-called foo-foo dog in her shopping cart, in the grocery section of the store. The dog was a very beautiful, well-kept looking animal, but should not be in a grocery store, in a shopping cart.

If there is a reason for the animal to be with the lady, then it should be marked as a service animal and kept on the floor or in its own container. It is my understanding that any animal that comes through the door can be declared a service animal and allowed entry. I called the state Department of Health.

I really hate to leave my mangy cat at home alone when I go shopping. Come to think about it, I even saw a dog in a restaurant not long ago. Maybe I will take my cat there, too. It only sheds a little.bill robbins Shelton
