Investigators think a damaged chimney liner caused a fire that did an estimated $25,000 in damage to a Lacey home Thursday afternoon.

No one was hurt.

The fire was reported at noon in the 900 block of Marvin Road Southeast. The homeowner saw flames and smoke from the wall above a fireplace, according to a news release.

Lacey Fire District 3 crews had the fire out within 10 minutes, the release states. The fire was contained to the area around the chimney.

The Olympia Fire Department and Thurston County Medic One also responded.
