Olympia Overhead Doors wins Builder of the Year award

John McKinlay of Olympia Overhead Doors is the 2012 Builder of the Year, one of several awards and new officers announced by Olympia Master Builders.

Here are the winners for 2012:

-President's award: John McKinlay of Olympia Overhead Doors.

-Associate of the Year: Heather Burgess of Phillips, Wesch, Burgess.

-Remodeler of the Year: Mike Auderer of Olympia Construction Inc.

-Top Recruiter of the Year: Scott Nolan of MDK Construction Inc.

-Golden Hammer Award: Ron Deering of Deering & Nelson Inc.

-Norman Paulsen Award: Tim Dickey of Dickey's Remodel & Repair and Accessible Living Concepts.

-Statesman of the Year: Lacey City Councilman Lenny Greenstein.

In addition to winning two awards, McKinlay also was announced as the president of Olympia Master Builders for 2013.

Here are the other officers for 2013:

Scott Nolan of MDK Construction, Inc., First Vice President; Ross Irwin of Cabinets by Trivonna, Associate Vice President; Tina Allen of Great Floors, Second Associate Vice President; Ron Deering of Deering & Nelson, Inc. Treasurer; and Rich James of Olympia Fireplace & Supply, Secretary.
