Christmas Forest attracts 4,500, grosses more than $550,000



Providence St. Peter Hospital’s 25th annual Christmas Forest raised more than $550,000 that will go toward providing health care for the poor and vulnerable, according to a news release.

The five-day event attracted 4,500 visitors to see 27 decorated trees, 13 wreaths and other items that were auctioned at a gala auction and dinner Nov. 30.

The gala alone raised $375,000, including $180,000 for the Providence Sexual Assault Clinic and Child Maltreatment Center, the release states.
