Weber State routs Eastern Washington

Jordan Richardson had 15 points, Kyle Tresnak added 14 and Weber State opened Big Sky play by producing a well balanced scoring attack to rout Eastern Washington, 74-53, in Cheney.

Weber State (5-3 overall, 1-0) led 37-26 at halftime but lit up the scoreboard in the second half to eventually lead by as many as 27 with just under 12 minutes to play. The Wildcats shot 57.1 percent from the field in the second half, out-rebounded the Eagles 41-28 overall and made 20 of 28 shots from the free-throw line.

Venky Jois scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead Eastern Washington (2-9, 0-1).
