F or the past 30 years, tremendous cuts to government safety net programs have cut funding for the mentally ill. As a result, we have horrendous shootings of innocent people by others who are mentally ill. Let me ask my fellow Americans, are your personal tax breaks worth the deaths of so many? If not, please contact your elected officials and tell them you would be willing to be taxed to fund programs to support the mentally ill.
