Group Health promotes Leonard to VP of market development

Former Providence St. Peter Hospital executive Jim Leonard has been promoted by Group Health to vice president of market development in South Sound. He will split his time between Tacoma and Olympia.

Leonard has more than 30 years of experience in hospital administration, including a stint as chief operating officer and chief executive of Providence St. Peter Hospital from 2000 to 2009.

He also previously worked for Group Health for 17 years, 10 of those years as Olympia regional administrator. Leonard has a master's degree in health administration from the University of Washington.
