Teach children to respect life

DONNA RUELAS-SEMASKO

S hootings and a recently found buried baby, and more – look at your newspaper – what’s wrong with the United States? No respect for life! Parents do not teach respect for life to their children. This is a different world we are in today. The National Rifle Association is right that we need to protect things. But we also need to teach respect to all people about life, and that starts with the youth. Perhaps it’s the violent video games or the fact that more parents are working and don’t pay attention to what their youngsters are doing. There may not be one remedy, but it is our duty to all children to protect them and to teach them and keep alert as to what is going on around us.
