Reader salutes

A HUGE thank you to the lady eating at Panda Express in Tumwater recently. I left my purse hanging on a chair inside the restaurant and walked away. Forty-five minutes later I discovered it was missing. I hastily drove back to the restaurant and was told a nice lady had turned it in. She didn’t leave her name so I thought just maybe she might read The Olympian, and know how much I appreciate her thoughtfulness and will be forever grateful.

The VFW #318 Ladies Auxiliary gives thanks to the Lacey Womens’ Club and its individual members. Donations from the club itself and also individual member donations totaling $660 made it possible for the auxiliary to give the USO $410, and the Wounded Warrior Project $250. These are projects the VFW Ladies Auxiliary supports year-round. These donations are greatly appreciated by the auxiliary and by the recipients. Thank you, Ladies!
