Shelton man arrested for robbing Key Bank, police say

Police arrested a man they say robbed a Shelton bank Friday, according to a news release.

Shelton police officers were called to an armed robbery at Key Bank, 410 W. Railroad Ave. at around 5 p.m.

A man walked into the bank and warned employees he was armed with a weapon and demanded money, the release said.

The man fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was hurt.

Shelton police officers and Mason County Sheriff's deputies found the suspect inside his vehicle in a nearby parking lot.

The man, a 67-year-old Shelton man with previous felony convictions, was booked in Mason County Jail for robbery.

The man's name has not been released.
