Zonta International combats slavery

OlympiaJanuary 6, 2013

T hank you for your noteworthy editorial in last Sunday’s edition of The Olympian on the Jan. 10 event, “Hidden in Plain Sight.” In addition to the local Rotary Clubs who have come together to make this event happen, the Zonta Club of Olympia and the Zonta Club of South Puget Sound have been involved in the planning and execution of the Awareness Fair which is from 1-6 p.m. on Jan. 10. Zonta International is a service organization whose mission is advancing the status of women locally and globally. District 8 of Zonta International will also be represented at the Zonta table with members from the Centralia/Chehalis Zonta club. District 8 governor, Shelli Cutting from Anchorage, Alaska, will be in attendance as Zonta International is involved in the prevention and irradication of human trafficking and human slavery.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
