SMU's O'Neill, Haskey earn GNAC honors
A pair of Saint Martin's University basketball players -- Roger O'Neill and Chelsea Haskey -- earned the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's men's and women's basketball players of the week honors after their performances last weekend.

O'Neill shared the men's player of the week honors with Alaska Fairbanks' Pat Voeut after equaling his career-high 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting in SMU's 71-59 win over Western Oregon last Saturday. On the women's side, Haskey scored 38 points in two games last week as the SMU women split a pair of games against Montana State-Billings and Seattle Pacific. The Saints' 70-66 upset of GNAC co-leader SPU was the team's first win over the Falcons in two seasons.

Saint Martin's track and field, cross country coach steps down
Julie Sullivan, who spent seven seasons as cross country coach and six as track and field coach at Saint Martin's, resigned Wednesday. First-year assistant coach Chad Colwell has been named interim head coach, as the Saints continue their indoor track and field season Saturday at the University of Washington.
