Thurston County crews are busy sanding the roadways Friday morning in response to multiple collisions.

Cars are sliding on the icy roads but no serious injuries have been reported, according to Thurston County dispatchers. There are also pockets of freezing fog, according to the National Weather Service.

It was 28 degrees in Olympia as of around 8 a.m.

The fog is expected to lift by around 10 a.m., making way for mostly sunny skies and a high of 38 degrees.

The weather service is expecting party cloudy skies tonight with a low of 21 degrees, making way for more ice and a chance of light rain and snow flurries Saturday morning.
