Red-hot River Ridge extended its winning streak to six games with a 73-50 win over first-place W.F. West, handing the visiting Bearcats their first loss in Evergreen Conference play. Brad Wallace, the EvCo’s leading scorer, finished with 29 points as the Hawks ended the game on a 22-5 run after holding a 51-45 lead with less than 5 minutes remaining.

Tumwater went on a 19-4 run to cut its deficit against Capital to four late in the fourth quarter, but the Cougars were able to hang on for a 57-51 victory in EvCo play. The Cougars built a 48-27 lead before the Thunderbirds’ big late run. Keenan Williams led Capital with 17 points and Tumwater’s Jayden Croft led all scorers with 18 points.

Devante Harris (20 points) and Justin Conklin (14) paced Tenino (12-3, 8-0 1A SW Washington Evergreen Conference) in its 66-48 win over Elma.
