McCleary set to become home to $200M steel pipe plant

A company called USA Investment Group LLC has acquired 350 acres of industrial and commercially zoned land in McCleary for a steel pipe manufacturing facility.

According to a news release from the city:

Construction of the steel pipe plant, which will import rolled steel via rail, is expected to cost more than $200 million and employ 400. The plant, which will serve the oil and gas exploration industry in the U.S. and Canada, is expected to be operational in late 2014.
