Running back Danny Woodhead and defensive end Chandler Jones were both listed as limited participants as the New England Patriots began practice preparations for Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

Both players exited last Sunday's 41-28 victory over Houston in the Divisional Round due to injuries. Woodhead left after New England's initial offensive series after hurting his left thumb, while Jones missed the entire second half due to an ankle sprain.

As expected, tight end Rob Gronkowski did not take part in Wednesday's session. The two-time Pro Bowl selection reportedly underwent surgery on Monday to repair a fractured left forearm he sustained in the first quarter of the Houston game.

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard also did not practice, though the team stated the rookie's absence was not injury-related.

The Patriots will be aiming for a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance when they host the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday's conference title game.
