Air Force

Air Force Airman Megan K. Gerow graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Gerow is the daughter of Tammy Balliett of Olympia.

Air Force Airman Michael K. Ivey graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Ivey is the son of Dan and Tammy Ivey of Yelm, and a 2012 graduate of Yelm High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jamie A. Morgan graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of John Morgan of Olympia, and a 2009 graduate of Capital High School.

Air Force Airman Nathan W. Nachatilo graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Nachatilo is the son of Brenda Nachatilo of Olympia, and a 2009 graduate of River Ridge High School.

Air Force Airman Austin R. Player graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Player is the son of Todd and Brenda Player of Olympia, and a 2011 graduate of Tumwater High School.

Air Force Airman Joseph M. Tucker graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Tucker is the son of Jason Combs and Holly Tucker, both of Shelton. He is a 2011 graduate of Shelton High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Stephanie M. Wolf graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Robert and Lisa Wolf of Olympia, and a 2008 graduate of River Ridge High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2012 from The Evergreen State College.

Army

Army Staff Sgt. Nicholas A. Sousa has been named noncomissioned officer of the quarter, third quarter, for United States Army Medical Department Activity, Fort Knox, Ky. Sousa is a 2005 graduate of Shelton High School.

Navy

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Skylar A. Blue has graduated from the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C. Blue is the son of Eric Blue of Tenino, and Lisa Brooks of Olympia. He is a 2009 graduate of Tenino High School.

Navy Airman Joson K. Loy, son of Robyn A. Johnston of Tumwater, and Lonnie L. Loy, of Tumwater, recently arrived in Norfolk, Va, following a seven-and-a-half-month deployment supporting operations in the Mediterranean and the Arabian Seas. Loy is a 2008 graduate of Tumwater High School. Navy Airman Apprentice Destiny M. Nelson was recently promoted to her current rank after graduating from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. She is the daughter of Melinda K. Giles of Olympia, and Arthur M. Nelson, of Tumwater. Nelson is a 2012 graduate of Tumwater High School.
