In the Legislature A bill to eliminate the one-year waiting period required for veterans and military members to be eligible for in-state tuition will have a hearing today. The House Higher Education Committee will hear testimony on House Bill 1011 at 8 a.m. in Hearing Room A of the John L. O’Brien Building.

The House Government Accountability & Oversight Committee will take testimony on a bill to create a special license for nonprofit senior centers to serve alcohol. The committee will discuss House Bill 1022 and five other bills at 1:30 p.m. in Hearing Room E of the John L. O’Brien Building.

House Bill 1050, which would authorize government agencies to sell the naming rights for public facilities such as hospitals, will have a hearing before the House Committee on Government Operations & Elections today at 8 a.m. in Hearing Room E of the John L. O’Brien Building.

Later in the day, a similar bill to allow the sale of naming rights for state transportation facilities will receive a hearing. House Bill 1051 will be heard before the House Transportation Committee at 3:30 p.m. in Room B of the John L. O’Brien Building.
