Created by voter initiative in 1986, the Commission sets the salaries of the elected officials in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of state government. Prior to its creation, those salaries were set by the Legislature. Please visit www.salaries.wa.gov for more information.

A schedule of salaries for elected officials is here. Gov. Jay Inslee, for example, is highest paid among elected state officials, earning $166,891 under the commission’s salary schedule set in 2011. Supreme Court justices were just behind that at $164,221.
