T he 57th presidential inauguration ceremonies took place this week, as Barack Obama, our 44th president, was sworn in on the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday. The main event was followed by balls and dinners and, of course, the controversy about whether or not Beyonce lip-synced her performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” We don’t care; it was a great rendition.
