Kingma leads UW past Ducks

Playing without point guard Jazmine Davis, who took an elbow to the head against Washington State a week ago, Washington Huskies guard Kristi Kingma put the team on her back for a second consecutive game, scoring 20 points in Washington’s 66-53 victory over Oregon.

Talia Walton, who finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds, led the Huskies on a 15-3 run to take a 20-point lead 3:31 into the second half.

Washington (14-5 overall, 6-2 Pacific-12 Conference) forced 16 turnovers by Oregon (3-17, 1-7) and had 13 steals, four by Kingma.

COUGARS RALLY TO BEAT BEAVERS, 76-73, IN OT

The Cougars (6-13, 2-6 Pac-12) overcame a six-point deficit in overtime, scoring the game’s final nine points to defeat Oregon State (9-11, 3-5), 76-73.

Freshman guard Lia Galdeira scored a game-high 22 points and freshman forward Mariah Cooks added a career-high 16 points for the Cougars.

PAC-12 ROUNDUP

No. 6 Stanford 69, No. 20 Colorado 56: Chiney Ogwumike had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Cardinal (18-2, 7-1 Pac-12) to a 69-56 victory over the Buffaloes (15-4, 4-4).

No. 7 California 71, Utah 54: Reshanda Gray scored 19 points and sparked a big run in the second half before leaving with a left hamstring injury as the Bears (17-2, 7-1) beat the Utes (10-9, 1-7).

No. 19 UCLA 54, Arizona State 50: Nirra Fields scored 13 points, Thea Lemberger hit a go-ahead 3-pointer midway through the second half, and the Bruins (15-4, 6-2) held on to beat the Sun Devils (11-9, 3-5).

USC 74, Arizona 57: Cassie Haberts scored a game-high 26 points to help the Trojans (8-11, 3-5) to a victory over the Wildcats (11-8, 3-5).
