A downed line caused a temporary power outage for 14,000 Puget Sound Energy customers in Thurston County Wednesday morning.

Crews were able to divert power from the downed transmission line to alternate power sources within an hour, according to Julia Hughes, PSE spokesperson.

Power went out at 8:20 a.m. and was back on by 9:09 a.m. Crews are still trying to determine what caused the line to fall, Hughes said.

"The work itself is still ongoing," Hughes said. "The line has not been repaired yet, but that doesn't affect any customer's power."

Most of the outages were reported in Yelm and Rainier, she siad.
